I was the Mom who didn't stay at home and a Mom who has faced empty nest twice. My youngest was the package deal of my 2nd marriage. The marriage ended - but I adopted her when she turned 18 yrs. She is 18 yrs younger than my oldest. Our nests will never be empty - We will forever be Moms. Its just time for different eggs (roles) to add to our life experiences resume. Great article!
