Change the vibration
The law of attraction, popularized a few years ago, with the movie “The Secret”, uses terms like raise your vibration, get into the vortex, and our thoughts create our reality.
Since I am a word nerd, of sorts, I wanted to break that theory down a bit. I, often, look at the old-school definition of words. Take vibration for instance.
Vibration means a strong, regular, repeated pattern of movement and sound. The systematic arrangement of musical sounds, according to duration and periodic stress.
Or how about the word vortex. Vortex means a mass of air or water that spins very fast and pulls objects into their empty center. Like the middle of a tornado.
Based on those definitions, I don’t know that I want to raise them, but I can certainly see where I would want to change them.
I do believe that our thoughts can create our reality. Our thoughts are based on our personal definitions, experiences, and perceptions. Early on we attach certain feelings to those thoughts. Breaking or changing the intensity of the attachment is a good way to start.
Our emotional attachments are simultaneously felt within our bodies since they are directly connected to our central nervous system and our fear responses. The immediate fight, flight…
