So very true. My daughter was just starting high school when she was gender questioning. There is grief and self examination for the parent. I am grateful she taught me a whole new language. Our conversations "were help me understand" and in turn it helped her understand me better too. My only request was no permanent changes until after the age of 18. Our kids become are best teachers if we dont resist.
